Heading to the N train, walking along Ditmars on the day we were to bring Hugo home, I walked into this wonderful sunrise. It reminded me of the bright red harvest moon that occurred on the evening of our wedding (people actually took time out from the reception to go see it). Could it be that our special days are blessed with wonderful signs in the heavens.
We were able to bring Hugo home on Friday, January 3rd. Hugo looked dashing in a little yellow number, adorn with happy lions (thanks Grandma Brown)--as you can see he was quite comfortable in his new car seat (thank you grandma and grandpa Waltersdorf). Although Jennifer found the hospital a bit challenging at times, she did enjoy the company of her roommates. The first gave birth to twins. Lots of crying in the room for a day. Here's Jen with her second roommate (below) showing off their sons on departure day--both boys were born within an hour of each other on New Year's Eve.
Hugo has been home for a couple of days now. He has said hello to Frida and Diego (lots of licking attempts), and our upstairs neighbors Adam, Natasha, and their young son Paul. Our friend Colin also stopped by with the invaluable gift of ziti his wife Barbara Lynn made.
God Bless the little children.
