It's cold outside but warm inside, thanks to the oven constantly being on to heat our delightful Beef Wellington!!! SO GOOD! (Thank you Chicago grandparents). Here are a couple images and videos from today.
How succinctly the photos tell the story of the short yet wondrous life if il bambino!
Little can he suspect the momentous impact he's made as he slumbers atop daddy's shoulder.
Then, stirring, he engages again the wide and mysterious world around him.
Strong hands hold him close, reassurance that all is well.
Still, he must give voice to that which moves within his tiny soul . . . an ancient, nascent hunger that grows and demands satisfaction -- not later, but NOW!
And so the man-child leans his head back, his mouth widening, and cries out the primeval ancestral call --
