Getting Our Dance On / Getting Our Build On

A weekend packed with sunny skies in New York.  It was perfect for as much as we packed in.
Jen's working out at Simply Fit Astoria and there was a party this weekend.  The boys picked up mom and got to enjoy the studio space, disco lights and all.  We haven't posted much video and while this isn't the best quality, you can see Hugo and Dash have some dance moves.  Hugo was in a great mood at Simply Fit.  The owner Lisa bops around with the boys.  Sometimes the energy of the people (positive great women) and just the right amount of space... allows Hugo to really find himself.

Later in the day we met Gene, Jocelyn and Justus at the Queens Theater, located on the historic grounds where the 1964 World's Fair took place.  We attended a Lego Workshop where the kids built and took home a mini NY State Pavilion.  Did you know Legos were first introduced to Americans 50 years ago at the New York World's Fair?  The things you learn as parents to Lego lovers.  Grandma Brown recently sent a huge box of Evan's old Legos... and let's just say they are up there in age too!

The crowds at the theater proved to be a bit much for Hugo.  While he is loving Legos at home, he was overwhelmed by the noise and people.  Thankfully Evan is the most patient Dad on the planet because Hugo eventually found his groove with some other boys on an old tree in the park away from it all.
Dash and Justus are two peas in a pod and it is sweet to see how much those two enjoy hanging out.  As for the adults, we capped off the night with good wine.  Some of us even had a tequila shot or two.
