"
I am grateful for great teaching. When I was following kids through their whole day, and we arrived at the class of a great teacher it was a blessing, a miracle, something that made time pass in a snap. There is nothing in the world like great teaching. It is rare and extremely hard to achieve."

This Friday will be Hugo's last day with Central Park Early Learning Center. Although a sad occasion for us, Jen and I are incredibly grateful for the love, care, and commitment of Hugo's early-childhood teachers. Considering from where he came in to where he is now, we know that he's ready to take new steps, a new journey, in his new school in early July. As the quote says, great teaching is rare but at CPELC I would say great teaching resides in abundance; thank you for all the "blessings" and "miracles."

Hugo's first day, September 2011. Hugo started at CPELC when he was just 2 years, 9 months. Here with Griselda. |
Jen, Hugo, and Dash with Hugo's wonderful teachers. He knows all their names. |
The theme for Hugo's graduations was "bedtime." |
One of Hugo's parts in today's performance was to fill in the sequence of numbers on a calendar. |
Then it was time for pizza! |
As the party ends, a little decompression time with the iPhone. |
