Hugo's "Spring Training" School Show

Hugo's class had two performances today.  One show was assisting in an Olympic musical skit with another class, and the other was their own Beach Volleyball skit.  Cute, right? Jen and I were talking after we left, it occurred to us that Hugo has come a very long way with performances. They used to fill him with so much anxiety.  Now, he seems to revel in them.  Great to see.

Just a reminder, as you watch, that it takes a lot to get many of these children to get even this far.

Into November...

...And I realize that I haven't posted to the blog in a while, which, as it turns out, is becoming an archive on how fast our boys are growing, how big they are getting.  Dash is 7 (and a half), and Hugo will be 9 in 6 weeks.

From this morning: day off of school because of Election Day in the city.

From Halloween:  Hugo's costume is a video game character, and Dash's costume is a YouTube show character.  You know you're getting older when you no longer recognize the kids' costumes.

And so it begins, again.

It's early September, and you know what that means?  Back to school!

This morning, Hugo, Dash, and I biked down to Long Island City to drop off Dash for his first day of second grade at Our World Neighborhood Charter School!  Dash was so excited he barely slept.  And Hugo was excited for Dash and to see his brother's school! Hugo starts his school on Thursday.
