No Boy #2 YET. . .

Yes it is my due date and it is HOTTER than a lonely hot dog rotating at 2am at a Kwik Trip Gas Station. Today the doctor did "her best" to get things going (stare at ceiling and think of how good men have it). I'm going to let her do whatever it takes as she now thinks the baby is 8 1/2 pounds. I did my fair share of walking and had Vietnamese food for lunch and walked some more. A lot of people ask if Hugo knows he has a baby brother coming. He has NO CLUE. He uses my belly like a spring board to grab my glasses or my hair. His latest efforts involve emptying the contents of whatever he can find. If it is a box loaded with books, by golly all 30 books will be in the middle of the room. He is napping now in a bedroom littered with flash cards, like the aftermath of a Chicago-style ticker tape parade. I for one did not sleep last night because my body was busy sweating. I swore I heard a mouse and if you remember last time, a mouse scratching in our walls is how Hugo's labor began. But honestly, I'm not sure the squeaking last night was from a varmint or Evan's nose.

A little shower and a lot of tummy!

Friends from fellowship group brought the food, drink and good time to our place to celebrate baby boy #2's soon arrival.

Some of you may be wondering how big mommy's belly is. These are photos from the last couple weeks. (Socks required at music class.)

We wait patiently for the next little man to arrive. Last week's sonogram reported he was 8 lbs already.
GOOD GRIEF!

More trampoline, of sorts...

More like Daddy becomes the trampoline. This from about a week ago. Excuse the plumber's butt--if it wasn't cute I wouldn't have posted it.

On the Trampoline..

@ MyGym: Hugo had a brief obsession with the trampoline today. However, as is his schtick with almost every playground we visit in Queens, he spent a good deal of "exploration" time trying to climb up the slides and stand on top of the high platforms so he could look down on everyone. Tantrums ensued when he was taken down by Daddy and placed on the floor for his own safety.
He also discovered tunnels today (no video of that). But for Hugo, going through them is passé. No, he preferred to crawl to the middle and stay there, and then have a small fit when he had to be extracted so other children might have a turn. Delightful lad. But mostly, a great deal of fun for a very ACTIVE child.

GymSwim at the Cross Island, YMCA

Had a great day at GymSwim. Daddy got asked if he was Hugo's Grandpa, little did the old lady know another is on the way any day. Daddy still feels virile regardless.

Ah, I think so...

Random Earthquake in Canada

June 22: Earthquake in Ontario and Quebec. If you play the video clip, you won't see much, but you will hear a CBS Radio News Update. Jennifer contacted Gail (my mom) to comment on what she felt in Owen Sound, ON and her comments are part of the broadcast.

A boy through and through.....picking rocks out from between the bricks at the park.

Music Class in a nutshell

He loves the music, but just can't seem to make his way to the circle. Here Grandma Brown covers the stairs and takes the photo, or else, you-know-who would be trying to escape.

Notice the father with his back to the child.

The clever little man can make a toy of anything.

Sometimes videos are blurry because they're filmed with our phones, in case you were wondering. Still, this one is pretty funny.

Hugo in the basket

After yardwork...Hugo crawled into a basket of toys....chilled there for 10 minutes...which is like an hour in toddler time.

Cleaning up the pine cones

Helping Daddy clean the pine cones up in the yard....he put 25 pine cones in the plastic recycle bin. Every so often he'd look down to see how many he'd thrown in there.
